Last year the people from web standards New Zealand organised a killer event called Webstock. Webstock pulled in some pretty cool international talent like Kathy Sierra of Creating Passionate Users and local web success Rowan Simpson Development Manager (now ex-shareholder) of Trademe to name a couple. To keep up the momentum in a web space that is taking off right now, they’re running Webstock Mini’s, and the next one is tomorrow / Tuesday 6 March, so if for some mad reason you haven’t already, register for Webstock here!
I’ve chatted quickly to a couple of the people who take the time to make this happen, Mike Brown of Signify and Natasha Hall of Trademe, and I’m sure this will be a must attend.
This Mini should be a good one with Rod Drury speaking about Interaction Design for Competitive Advantage, something thats very much at the heart of a modern web businesses success, and something I spend about half my time on in PlanHQ. The web CEO just has to maintain a focus on and drive the interaction of the product, its the pillar of sales and marketing, as this is the experience that people pay for and tell their friends about.
See you there!
