They’re pretty unknown to most, but Silicon Welly’s FXNetworks have been very busy over the last year, laying and lighting up a brand new High Speed Fibre Optic Internet Backbone from Wellington to Auckland. So we now have a new major alternative for Internet Bandwidth up the country.

FXNetworks Re-launches with a new face

Who are these FX Networks guys, and why are they doing this?

The relatively low profile of FX Networks says nothing of their history or activity. FX Networks have been in the game for a long time and the team has as many high-end geeks as you could ever ask for, who’ve all played key roles in developing New Zealand’s Internet since it’s inception. So this is not just a big piece of fibre up the country, its a high-end fully supported network, with people who know how to keep it running 24×7. Look forward to seeing how this plays its part in shaking up New Zealand’s internet.
