Wellington Xmas Party on a Boat

Last Christmas, Silicon Welly threw a huge boat party to end a massive year for everyone. This Christmas, we’ve hooked up with Summer of Code and Unlimited Potential to throw a Xmas party at Tugboat on the Bay. Its shaping up to be a great night, starting with meeting in the Beach Bar from 6.30pm, a yummy Christmas dinner will be served from 7.30pm, then letting loose in the “Engine Room” after dinner.

The deal is:

Jump on the Summer of Code website to register. The party is open to all Summer of Code companies, students, staff, guests and members of Unlimited Potential, Silicon Welly, Made From New Zealand, WYP or just Wellington businesses in need of a Xmas party. The meal is $50 per person and there will be a cash bar. (Check out Summer of Code for payment details.)

Thanks to everyone who came along (see below) to last years Silicon Welly Xmas party on the Wellesley, was a really good night lovely to share it with you all! Since we had the Made From New Zealand film crew around, we made this quick video, sorry we didn’t quite get around everyone before the battery ran out on the night. I hope everyone has had a great restful break and is starting off a great year.

Special Thanks to Alastair Thompson from Scoop Media who along with us from Made From New Zealand threw $600 on the bar which saw us through for all of a solid 45 minutes : )

Silicon Welly Joint xmas party on a boat!

It’s been a big year so far for everyone, and to finish it off we’ve organised a big xmas party on a boat for a lot of little businesses in the community. So If you’re a Silicon Welly business and want to enjoy celebrating your year of ups and downs and - hopefully more ups in the end : ) with other like minded people in a party cruising around the Wellington harbour with full buffet dinner with a bunch of other cool people and businesses making it happen, then this is your party : )

Pam Minett from YMedia who are based up in the Silicon Welly hive of goodness, did this beautiful invite where you can sign-up, and organised the boat - so all you have to do is register your biz and numbers (partners… too ofcourse), pay and turn up on the night of December 3 and you have an xmas party of the stars for your crew : ) Thanks Pam!

I’ve got a few companies I’m involved in now, Made From New Zealand, PlanHQ, StartUp, Seamless Experience, The Naked Trainer and Challenge for Change, and a cool crew of people working across them, and we’ve got the other businesses here at the Silicon Welly HQ space: ProjectX Technology, Snipesoft, MarchingCubes.com, YMedia, Rocket Boys, Art Klick and Resonant Concepts, so there’s our little base for the party, we all look forward to sharing the night with the rest of Silicon Welly.
