Getting Ahead with Bro Jobs

By Tim Norton | Feb 23, 2009

When you’re trying to get something started, you need people who get into what you’re trying to do and go hard with you to make it happen. I knew nothing about IT at 19, when during Uni I did my first Bro Job in the IT department of Canterbury Clothing Company. Now I get Bro Jobs all the time!!! And we’ve continued to pull plenty of great people into the crew like Arthur and Tilmann to get started on Bro Jobs. I spoke with Mikee Tucker from Loop the other day about building New Zealand’s coolest music label, and here’s what he had to say about building a business on Bro Jobs.

Bro jobs are the way to go if you want to get into an industry that you don’t have a lot of experience in.

If you really want to do something approach your dream company and ask if you can work for them for free or a minimal amount of money, they will rarely say no and likely want to hold onto you after you have learned how they like to operate.
